Resilience training for staff members
Strong Balanced Organisations (SBO) is an action program adapted from the "Master Resilience Training" program created by Dr. Karen J. Reivich and Martin E. P. Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania for the American Army. The exercises that are included in the SBO training have been adapted to carry out resilience training for staff members of private, governmental, or non-governmental organizations.
The purpose of the SBO program is different from the other resilience programs designed by Lorena Aguirre Cadarso. In this program, we don't assess the mental health of the staff members. We directly assume they have gone through different work-stress situations.
The concept of resilient organizations has begun to emerge in recent years. We believe that for an organization to absorb shocks and profound impacts without losing the ability to fulfill its mission, it is necessary that its members also embrace the tools that allow them to be resilient.
Executives and other staff members from all types of organizations face several unique challenges when it comes to work stress management. Not only is stress itself a tremendous burden on the well-being, but it pays a significant toll on other problems in personal life: physical health, family, and social relationships.
Many highly skilled and talented individuals have to cope with stress, but some found themselves lacking the necessary resources to face it and afraid to ask for help. SBO resilience training aims to be the final training that provides a set of skills to build resilience. They will learn self-awareness and self-regulation, which is to manage their energy levels and detect counterproductive thoughts and behaviors. They will learn problem-solving and stand out for their productive goal-setting.
They will identify their signature character strengths in themselves and others and identify the strengths of their team or department. They will learn how to use their character strengths to overcome challenges and bring about success. Through the character strengths, they will also find their pathway to leadership.
Building resilience is helping to improve relationships with family, work colleagues, clients, or partners. They will be learning communication skills and improving teamwork.

SBO resilience training is done in groups of 25 individuals. The training consists of 6 modules with a total duration of 83 hours for 10 days.
